RECIPES : Salmon Avocado Salad



I absolutely LOVE this.
This absolutely delicious and nutritious dish is SUPER EASY TO WHIP UP! Only needing 3 ingredients and 20 minutes to whip up, this dish is especially good for people recovering from eating disorders, especially those that lost their periods due to malnutrition! 

Health benefits of the Salmon Avocado Salad! 
1. Eating salmon is beneficial in improving bone density and joint problems.
2. Eating salmon makes you smarter and happier.
3. Eating avocados and salmon increases your cardiovascular health. 
4. Eating salmon twice or thrice a week can prevent heart attack, stroke, arrhythmia, high blood pressure and high triglycerides.
4. Salmon and avocados are good for your vision. 
5. Salmon is an excellent source of vitamin D. 
6. Salmon contains tryptophan which helps you sleep better. 
7. Eating Avocados increase nutrient absorption. 
8. Avocados are grey sources of Potassium which controls blood pressure. 
9. Both avocados and salmons are rich in antioxidants. 
10. Both avocados and salmon contain healthy fats! We all need fats but these are the foods with the healthy kind of fats.   

INGREDIENTS for 1 serving:
- Salmon fillet 200g
- 1 whole Avocado 
- Edemame (to preference) 

STEPS : 
1. Lay out salmon on an aluminum foil with it's skin NOT on the foil. 
2. Oven toast the salmon at 230°C for about 15 minutes (depending on the thickness of the salmon)
3. Cut up the avocado into half and scoop the flesh out into a bowl. 
4. Using a fork, mash the avocado. If it's too hard, boil the avocado for about 5-10 minutes to soften it. 
5. Boil and prepare the Edemame. 
6. Squeeze the Edemame out from its pods and place it in the same bowl with the avocado. Once the salmon is done, place it in the same bowl. 
7. Mix the salmon meat and avocado and Edemame together! 




If you'd prefer to eat it as a wrap, simply put the contents in the middle of the wrap and wrap it up! :)
